Williams brings more than 16 years of leadership, coaching, player development, league operations, media, branding, and international basketball experience to Durban United. His appointment signals the beginning of a bold new era for the program as Durban United prepares to create a structured pathway for men’s and women’s basketball players seeking development, exposure, college opportunities, and professional advancement.

As President of Basketball Operations, Williams will oversee the full basketball vision of Durban United, including player development, coaching structure, recruiting, basketball partnerships, staff development, international exposure opportunities, team operations, and long-term program growth.

Kevin Williams Sr. has built a reputation as one of the most active and innovative basketball development leaders in the United States. Over the past 16 years, he has helped create opportunities for athletes through coaching, league ownership, media exposure, brand development, and international basketball connections.

Williams currently serves as President of the National Basketball League-United States, where he has played a major role in developing the NBL-US into a college and professional development platform for athletes pursuing the next level. His work has focused heavily on giving unsigned, under-recruited, post-grad, and pro-level athletes a legitimate stage to be seen, evaluated, developed, and promoted.

Throughout his career, Williams has been connected to championship-level success, player advancement, and program building. His achievements include:

His recognition as a High School All-American Head Coach in 2019 reflects his ability to coach and lead high-level athletes. His 2024 Global Recognition Award further highlights the impact of his work beyond local basketball, recognizing his dedication to player development, leadership, and sports innovation.
